As I've read what :devtimbereclips: had to say about this epic shot, I wholeheartedly agree. The browns and reds that compliment the overall photo are nicely captured, though a little vibrant adjustment to make them pop from everything else would suffice an even better photo.

Might I also suggest angling your shots? This specific one is amazing, but as a photographer, you have the world as your canvas. Exploring subjects as small as a bird, or as big as a mountain through different perspectives of the lens is a generous approach to enable the viewer to understand your surroundings.

In short, I wonder what makes this bird so calm? What is so special about the location he's at? At this point, what is distinguishing you two from being face to face...more branches? A nearby bird house? Your front window? or a fountain? I'll never know based on this shot, it's a vague understanding.

Aside from your message being told through an image, just enjoy photographing and take it to a new level. :) If you have any questions or need anymore clarification of anything I've explained, just let me know.

Good luck!

What a beautiful shot. I have recently become very fond of these sweet little birds; for years they were not seen around my house and then just this last year my yard swarms with them... such wonderful creatures to watch dance and flutter around the grass.

Gorgeous photo and very well timed!  I particularly like that the background has blurred to almost a single orange color, which really shows off the individual silhouettes of the bird and branches!

Really great shot! With the type of focus you have on the picture, the way the feathers are sort of blending into a more blurry focus on the back, it sort of has this painted feeling to it. I can't really explain what I mean well, but regardless, I like the effect. Nice work!

What a beautiful little sparrow, this is. :D She has such personality in that look of hers... I wonder what she's thinking? :XD: I like the angle you put her in, but as the critiquer below said, I think it'd be a better shot if you put more into the shot. Like branches, other trees, etc. I'm not that much of a photographer, so I don't know what'd look best. The background could also be a tad bit more.. alive, perhaps? But other than that, nice shot!

You mean CAPTAIN Female House Sparrow, savvy?

Unfunny jokes apart, the level of detail in this photography is just amazing, I love how you captured even the bird's purposeful expression. And come on, sparrows are among the cutest things ever :)
